Fake News: Fuji News Network "Trump said 'Moon Jae In is untrustworthy.'"

FooLJapan's Note:
I couldn't find any related information about this news other than Fuji News Network (FNN).  Is there anyone who knows something about this?

FNN is a TV broadcaster which belongs to extreme right wing Fuji-Sankei media group.

Fuji News Network (FNN) reported that President Trump harshly criticized South Korean President Moon Jae In at the Biarritz G7 Summit. According to FNN, President Trump stated "Moon Jae In is untrustworthy" when the leaders were talking about security problems on the first day of the Summit.

According to an anonymous Japanese government officer, President Trump added "Kim Jong Un said me 'Moon is lying'."

And at the next day dinner President Trump said "Why had Moon become the president?" and other leaders were surprised.

** Some works exhibited in the Aichi Triennale Exhibition, especially installation related to Japanese ex-Emperor's photo and the girl statue symbolizing 'comfort woman', were attacked by right wing activists. They threatened the organizers of the exhibition by suggesting violent attacks against the exhibition and the organizers decided to withdraw those controversial works. Police caught some of the suspects who threatened the exhibition, most of them haven't yet been caught.

Explanation: Extreme right-wing magazines in Japan

"Monthly Will" (WAC Publishing) and "Monthly Hanada" (Asuka Publishing) are the most conspicuous extreme right-wing magazines in Japan. "Monthly Will" and "Monthly Hanada" are said to sell 80,000 copies and 50,000 copies respectively. "Hanada" is named after its editor in chief, Kazuyoshi Hanada.

In addition to them, there are many extreme right-wing magazines in Japan. "Japanism" (Seirindo Publishing) is one example of the other extreme right wing magazines which features not only political issues but cultural or spiritual topics.

"Seiron" (Sankei Newspaper) and "Voice" (Yomiuri Newspaper) are such monthly magazines published by newspaper companies. They were started in the Cold War era and have a longer history than "Monthly Will", "Monthly Hanada" or "Japanism", which were started in 2004, 2016 and 2011 respectively. Yomiuri Newspaper is the world's largest newspaper which sells 8.5 million copies every day. Sankei Newspaper and Yomiuri Newspaper are newspapers in extreme right-wing tendency.

Monthly Bunshun (Bungei Shunju Publishing) and Monthly Shincho (Shincho-sha Publishing)  are basically literature magazines. But they also publish extreme right-wing author's political articles. Bungei Shunju Publishing and Shincho-sha Publishing also issue weekly gossip magazines, "Weekly Bunshun" and "Weekly Shincho", respectively.

On the other hand, several right-wing magazines were discontinued recently. Bungei Shunju Publishing discontinued their monthly extreme right-wing magazine "Shokun!" in 2009. Shogakukan Publishing abandoned the regular issue of "SPA!" in 2019. "SPA!" was issued weekly in its golden age, but due to recent slowing sales, the interval of its issue elongated to two weeks, eventually Shogakukan Publishing abandoned its regular issue. These discontinuation of right-wing magazines reflects the increasing competitive pressure in the right-wing magazine market.

Explanation: Who is "HANADA"?

Monthly Magazine "HANADA" was named after the family name of its editor in chief, Kazuyoshi Hanada. Hanada was the editor in chief of monthly magazine "Marco Polo" published by Bungei Shunju Publishing. "Marco Polo" published a Holocaust denial article in 1995. After being blamed by Jewish community, including Simon Wiesenthal Center, Bungei Shunju Publishing decided to discontinue "Marco Polo", fired Hanada and its president resigned.

After leaving "Marco Polo", Hanada became editor in chief of "Mothly Will" of WAC Publishing. But when the president of WAC Publishing required cost cut, Hanada left that magazine and started a new magazine, "Monthly Hanada" with Asuka Publishing. Therefore, "Monthly Will" and "Monthly Hanada" shares almost same extreme right tendency.
